Paul Watkins

DEXTER - Paul David Watkins, 43, died Sept. 19, 2001, in Cape Girardeau County of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born Dec. 5, 1957, in Dexter, son of Goldie Watkins DePriest of Dexter and the late George Watkins, he was a construction worker.

On Sept. 12, 1998, at Dexter, he married Karen McClard who survives of the home.

Survivors in addition to his wife and mother include: his stepfather, Bill DePriest of Dexter; two brothers, George Watkins Jr. of Bloomfield and Larry Roe Watkins of Dexter; two stepbrothers, Ronnie DePriest of Derby, Kan., and Darrel DePriest of Fulton; one stepsister, Vivien Burnsed of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

One brother, Bobby Gene Watkins, preceded him in death.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Jerrold Lake will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
