Mary Fisher
PORTAGEVILLE - Mary Louise Fisher, 73, died Oct. 4, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Aug. 9, 1928, in Portageville, daughter of the late John Andrew and Myrtle Ezell Carter, she was a member of St. Eustachius Catholic Church and the Ladies Sodality.
On Sept. 17, 1947, in Portageville, she married James W. Fisher who preceded her in death on July 17, 1976.
Survivors include: two daughters, Mary Elaine Musgrave of Portageville and Florence Ann Gaines of Gideon; one son, James Landon Fisher of Friars Point, Miss.; one brother, Carroll Joseph Carter of Creek, Colo.; one sister, Irene Thweatte of Paducah, Ky.; and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Hazel Blanford, Nellie Carter and Luella Armstrong; three brothers, Leo Carter, Lonnie Carter and A.C. Carter; and one grandson, James Musgrave.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at DeLisle Funeral Home, where a prayer service is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Eustachius Catholic Church with Monsignor Mike Swalina officiating.
Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
