Maggie Moore

EAST PRAIRIE - Maggie L. Moore, 81, died at 9:45 a.m. Oct. 8, 2001, at the East Prairie Nursing Center.

Born May 23, 1920, in Savannah, Tenn., daughter of the late Robert Taylor and Frona Katherine Boyd Marshall, she lived in East Prairie most of her life, where she was a member of the First Baptist Church.

On July 23, 1938, she married James William Moore who preceded her in death on Dec. 30, 1993.

Survivors include: three sons, Edward Moore, Austin Moore and Winston Moore of East Prairie; one daughter, Shirley McClendon of East Prairie; and 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Also preceding her in death were one daughter, Faye Boyer; and five brothers, three sisters and one granddaughter.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home.

Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church with R.L. Robinson and Dennis Lowe officiating.

Burial will follow in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Wayne Hendrix, Randy Smith, Carl Moore, Richard Moore, Gary Moore, Lester Moore, Jerry Moore and Terry Moore.

The deacons of the First Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
