Zelma Finley
CHARLESTON - Zelma Finley, 73, died at 8:30 p.m. Oct. 27, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Oct. 14, 1928, in Walnut Ridge, Ark., daughter of the late James Henry and Mittie Jackson Spray, she lived in Charleston most of her life and was employed by Bessie's Restaurant before retiring in 1992. She was of the Baptist belief.
On Oct. 8, 1942, she married Dallas Finley who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Monica Finley of Bertrand; one sister, Velma Butler of Charleston; one granddaughter, Angel L. Wheatley of Charleston; and six nephews and four nieces.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, William L. Spray and Robert C. Spray; and two sisters, Thelma Harris and Christine Teel.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. David Dowdy, pastor of St. James Baptist Church of East Prairie, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
Pallbearers will be: Danny Wheatley, Chris Wheatley, Johnny Patrick, Jeff Patrick, Dallas Butler and Dale Harris.
