Homer Patterson

FAIRDEALING - Homer Gene Patterson, 56, formerly of Sikeston, died Nov. 5, 2001, at the John J. Pershing Veterans Administration Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.

Born Dec. 27, 1944, in Stoddard County, son of the late Victor Harrison and Alma Marie Bess Patterson, he lived in Southeast Missouri all his life. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he lived in Sikeston for 15 years before moving to Fairdealing four years ago.

Survivors include: one son, Michael Patterson of Fairdealing; one daughter, Bobbie Jo Patterson of Poplar Bluff; two sisters, Della Graham of Morehouse and Joyce Agge of North Pekin, Ill.; four brothers, Welden Bess of Farris, Texas, James Patterson of Fort Salerno, Fla., Ronnie Patterson of Dexter and Cletus Patterson of Parma; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Michele Jarrell; and one brother, Junior Patterson.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Ronnie Ledbetter of Essex will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.
