SIKESTON - When the Sikeston Area Development Council Board of Directors gathered Monday night, the tape recorder, which normally records the minutes, failed to work. The faulty recorder appeared to serve as an omen since the SADC was holding its last official meeting before breaking up by Jan. 1. Someone remarked there was no need for minutes since there would be no future meetings. "Well, this is going to be our last meeting," said SADC President Phil Boyer at the office, which opened in October 1990.
