Lila Scott

CANALOU - Lila Mae Scott, 88, died at 5:22 p.m. Dec. 17, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born March 14, 1913, at Morley, daughter of the late William P. and Artie M Baughn Scott, she was a homemaker and of the Assembly of God faith.

On May 18, 1932, in Canalou, she married Lee Howard Hewitt who preceded her in death on April 27, 1940.

On Jan. 24, 1991, in Piggot, Ark., she married Earl Scott who preceded her in death Dec. 11, 1999.

She was also preceded in death by one son, one brother and one grandson.

Survivors include: two daughters, Margaret Hewitt Pace and Dorotha Hewitt Fowler of Canalou; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston where services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Mike Cartwright of the Canalou Assembly of God Church officiating.

Burial will follow in the Old Morley Cemetery.
