Cecil Crawford

SIKESTON - Cecil Crawford, 93, died at 10:15 p.m. Dec. 16, 2001, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.

Born June 14, 1908, in McCracken County, Ky., son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Crawford, he was a farmer.

In May 1935, in Sikeston, he married Mary Lillian Westmoland who preceded him in death on May 14, 1989.

Survivors include: one son, Melvin Crawford of Kokomo, Ind.; six daughters, Shirley J. McClure of Clinton, Ark., Shelby J. Negri of Glenwood, Ill., Mary Louise Goggins of St. Charles and Gladys Marie Bolin, Joyce F. Staggs and Linda S. Post of Kokomo; one sister, Mamie Payne of Wickliffe, Ky.; and 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

One son also preceded him in death.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. Wednesday until service time at 11 a.m. at Blanchard Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Kelly Grubbs, pastor of Murray Lane Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
