Jimmie Baldwin

SIKESTON - Jimmie Baldwin, 66, died Nov. 26, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born April 2, 1935, in Charleston, W.Va., to the late William and Wina Jones Baldwin, he served in the U.S. Navy for four years and the U.S. Coast Guard for 18 years. He worked for Storey's Market Place and Sikeston Wal-Mart before retiring.

On March 12, 1963, in St. Louis he married Barbara Dietz, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Tom Hughes of Omaha, Neb.; one daughter, Susan Zolbe of Woodbridge, Va.; and three nieces, two nephews, seven great-nephews and eight great-nieces.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at the Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston with the Rev. Lee Fansler, pastor, of the Blodgett Baptist Church, officiating.
