BERTRAND - James A. "Jim" Clevenger, 60, died at 6 a.m. Nov. 26, 2001, at his home near Bertrand.

Born April 15, 1941, in Winchester, Va., son of the late William Edward and Emma Severson Clevenger, he had lived in Mississippi County for the past several years and operated Farmer Jim's Tomatoes near Bertrand. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Berryville, Va.

On April 16, 1992, he married Elizabeth Brownlee Hinds who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three sons, Mike Clevenger of Bonita Springs, Fla., Eddie Clevenger of Melfa, Va., and Jim Clevenger Jr. of Winchester, Va.; and five grandchildren.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Richard Combs of Jackson will officiate.

Burial will take place at a later date.
