LaVaughn Medley

DELTA - LaVaughn Medley, 68, died at 11:42 p.m. Nov. 25, 2001, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born Oct. 12, 1933, at McBride, daughter of the late Earl and Pearl McKnight Green, she retired as a nurse aide from the Chaffee Nursing Center. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Delta and Whitewater Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 174.

On Dec. 26, 1949, she married Chalmer Perry who preceded her in death on March 15, 1969.

She married Charles Medley on March 21, 1970, and he died Aug. 13, 1985.

Survivors include: three sons, Mark Perry and Mike Perry of Delta and Scott Perry of Dayton, Ohio; one daughter, Phyllis McDonald of Delta; two brothers, George Green of Advance and Earl Green of Clarksville, Ark.; and eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Two sisters also preceded her in death.

Friends may call after 5:30 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Jack Hargraves will officiate.

Burial will follow in Union Park Cemetery.
