Alice McQueen
BLOOMFIELD - Alice McQueen, 70, died Nov. 5, 2001, at her home near Bloomfield.
Born Feb. 20, 1931, in Walnut Ridge, Ark., daughter of the late Marion and Gladys Birmingham Brady, she lived in Tennessee and Arkansas before moving to Bloomfield 35 years ago. A member of the Missionary Baptist Church in Yarbro, Ark., she was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Disabled American Vets, the Sheriff's Association and the National Rifle Association.
On June 7, 1961, at Blytheville, Ark., she married Ray McQueen who preceded her in death on April 14, 1983.
Survivors include: two sons, Alan McQueen and John R. McQueen of Bloomfield; one daughter, Linda Ottinger of Smyrna, Tenn.; two brothers, Oscar Brady of Bloomfield and Utah Brady of Houston, Texas; one sister, Winnona McGuire of Gulfport, Miss.; and eight grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were one son, Tim Alan McQueen on May 17, 1983; one granddaughter, Tanya Ottinger; two brothers, Melton T. Brady and Rudolf Brady; and one sister, Launa Rambo.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, where services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Melvin Gainer of Dexter will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.
