Marie Johnson

SCOTT CITY - Marie F. Glass Johnson, 93, died at 10:20 p.m. Nov. 5, 2001, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

Born Dec. 30, 1907, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of the late Charles D. and Bertha Dunnigan Frazier, she worked for Brown's Shoe Fit in Cape Girardeau for 20 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Scott City.

On July 8, 1925, she married Martin Glass who preceded her in death on Feb. 19, 1952.

She later married Harry "Jack" Johnson who also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: one son, Gawayne "Sonny" Glass of Cape Girardeau; two stepsons, Kenneth Johnson of Cape Girardeau and Jack Johnson of Frankfurt, Ky.; one daughter, Mary Ellen Dover of Cape Girardeau; and 18 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son, one sister and one great-grandson.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Terry Eads, officiating.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery at Cape Girardeau.
