Walter Young

SIKESTON - Walter H. Young, 63, died Jan. 12, 2002, at Beverly Health and Rehab in New Madrid.

Born June 5, 1938, in New Albany, Miss., son of the late James and Vema Kelso Young, he was a residential painter in the local area and served with the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include: one daughter, Mary Ann Young of Kansas; one brother, Charles Young of Sanford, Fla.; and one sister, Shirley McAfee of Sikeston.

Graveside services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston. The Rev. Kelly Grubbs, pastor of Murray Lane Baptist Church in Sikeston, will officiate.

Richards Funeral Home of New Madrid is in charge of arrangements.
