Peggy Coffer

SIKESTON - Peggy C. Coffer, 71, died Jan. 14, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born Aug. 21, 1930, to the late Chester and Pauline Kirkpatrick Childers, she was a member of the Temple Baptist Church. She was employed for Story Farms and Ainsworth Construction Co. before retiring.

In 1949 she married Hulon "Doc" Coffer, who preceded her in death on July 10, 1990.

Survivors include: one daughter, Pam Moore of Bartlett, Tenn.; one brother, Robert "Sonny" Childers of Branson; one half brother, Michael Childers of Portsmouth, N.H.; one grandson, Chris Moore of Cordova, Tenn.; and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Friends may call from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston where services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Mark Odle, pastor of the Diehlstadt General Baptist Church, and the Rev. Jerry Hicks, pastor of the Canalou First Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Anniston Cemetery.
