Ronnie Smith

MARIANNA, Ark. - Ronnie Lee Smith, 49, formerly of Marston, Mo., died Nov. 26, 2001, at the Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

Born on May 22, 1952, in Marston, to the late Katherine Lynch and Ira Smith, he was a maintenance engineer with the U.S. Corps of Engineers. A member of the American Legion Post in Marianna, he served three years with the U.S. Army and 20 years with the National Guard.

In August 1989 at Wynne, Ark., he married Mary Graham, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include; two daughters, Sharon Denise Smith and Barbara Denean Summerhill of Marianna; one brother, Donnie Smith of Portageville, Mo.; and one grandson, Steven Levon Summerhill of Marianna.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid, Mo., where services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Roy Edwards, minister of Marston United Methodist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Mounds Park Cemetery near Lilbourn.
