BLOOMFIELD - Lillie Mae Kem, 79, died Jan. 26, 2002, at her home.

Born Aug. 13, 1922, in Canalou, daughter of the late John Rufus and Emma B. Sanders Chaney, she was a longtime resident of New Madrid County and member of the First Christian Church in Matthews.

On Nov. 8, 1942, she married Warren Randolph Kem who preceded her in death on July 7, 1974.

Survivors include: one son, Wayne Randolph Kem of Jefferson City; three daughters, Wanda Standridge of Bloomfield, Randena McMillen of Kewanee and Kathy Walters of Sikeston; one brother, Harry Chaney of Matthews; two sisters, Helen McLaurin of Mount Vernon, Ill., and Lala Duke of Dogwood; and 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were one grandson, David Wayne Standridge; and three brothers, Bill Chaney, Jewel Chaney and Phillip Chaney.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday.

The Rev. Tom McCanless, pastor of the Kewanee Missionary Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be: Scott McMillen, James McMillen, Jason Kem, John Standridge, Kevin Walters and John Chaney.
