Dorothy Duncan
BLOOMFIELD - Dorothy Anna Duncan, 88, died Jan. 25, 2002, at Missouri Southern Healthcare.
Born Oct. 22, 1913, at Hunterville, daughter of the late Cyrus E. and Lula Bradford Blevins, she had lived in the Hunterville and Circle City area for 62 years before moving to Bloomfield 26 years ago. She was of the Baptist belief.
On Nov. 30, 1935, at Dexter, she married Ray S. Duncan who preceded her in death on Feb. 2, 1971.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Linda McAnulty; three brothers, Leland Lasater, Clyude Lasater and Elmer Lasater; and three sisters, Velva Ruth Blevins, Lovetta Mahoney and Vera Corlew.
Survivors include four sons, Charles Eugene Duncan of Bernie, Doyle Ray Duncan of Afton, Jerry Dale Duncan of Essex and Jimmie Glen Duncan of Bloomfield; one daughter, Loretta Ferguson of Bloomfield; three sisters, Fredia Blevins of Bernie, Imogene Lape of Parma and Faye Geno of Malden; and 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 2-8 p.m. today at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Doyle Corlew officiating. He will be assisted by Debbie Mooney.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
