Nate Mathis
CAPE GIRARDEAU - Nathan Kelly "Nate" Mathis, 43, died Jan. 23, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born Feb. 26, 1958, in Dexter, son of Dathel L. Graves Mathis of Sikeston and Willie F. Mathis of Lexington, Tenn., he was owner-operator and video technician of Home Entertainment Service. He was a member of Lynwood Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors in addition to his parents include: one sister and brother-in-law, Melanie and John F. Hatley of Jackson, Tenn.; a special friend, Charmalee Waidtlow of Cape Girardeau; and two nephews, Marc Hatley and Andrew Hatley of Jackson, Tenn.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. David Jackson, associate pastor of the First Baptist Church in Sikeston, will officiate.
Burial will follow.
