Catherine Padgett

WYATT - Catherine Elaine Padgett, 82, died at 8:05 p.m. Dec. 4, 2001, at the Medical Center-Southeastern Oklahoma in Durant, Okla.

Born Oct. 26, 1919, in Mississippi County, daughter of the late Mack Neal and Izora Forgey Corbitt, she lived in Wyatt most of her life where she was a member of the Wyatt Baptist Church and owned and operated Catherine's Beauty Shop until retiring in 1969.

On Dec. 21, 1947, she married James P. Padgett who preceded her in death on June 25, 1995.

Survivors include: one son, John Anthony Padgett of Durant; one daughter, Cathy Neal Dansby-Roberts of Durant; one sister, Ethel Zanoni of Palo Alto, Calif.; and one granddaughter, Julie Lenora.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Neal Corbitt; and two sisters, Nellie Goodall and Ruth Brogen.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, where services are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Dean Wallace, pastor of the Wyatt Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
