Bob Keen
BENTON - Robert Lee "Bob" Keen, 78, died at 5:50 a.m. July 24, 2004, near Diehlstadt of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born Aug. 30, 1925, in Benton, son of the late Alvin and Clara Marie Menz Keen, he lived in Benton most of his life. He was self-employed in operating custodial services for the Kelly School District and was currently with the Citizens Bank in Charleston. A member of Unity Baptist Church near Benton, he served with the U.S. Navy Construction Battalion during World War II.
On Sept. 20, 1974, he married Shirley Parker who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Michelle Heuring of Benton; one brother, Joseph C. Keen of Benton; and three grandchildren, Brooks Heuring of Fort Campbell, Ky., and Brant Heuring and Brittney Heuring of Benton.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Aline Keen Spicer.
Visitation is from 9 a.m. Tuesday until time for a memorial service at 10 a.m. at the Unity Baptist Church. The Rev. Dennis Lowe, pastor, will officiate.
The Missouri Military Honor Guard will conduct graveside rites at the Unity Cemetery.
