Willis Christian

PUXICO - Willis "Putt" Christian, 88, died Nov. 19, 2001, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter.

Born May 31, 1913, in Puxico, son of the late Jess and Ester Ellis Christian, he lived in the Puxico area all his life and was a retired livestock and row crop farmer. He was a member of the Puxico Christian Church.

In 1947, in Puxico, he married Freida Virginia Mason who preceded him in death on Feb. 17, 1989.

Three brothers and eight sisters also preceded him in death.

He is survived by nieces and nephews, including William C. Stroud of Puxico.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. Thursday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Wiley McGhee of Puxico, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery near Puxico.
