Vivian McMurtry

LANCASTER, Calif. - Vivian Gay McMurtry, 67, died Nov. 17, 2001, in Lancaster, following a lengthy illness.

Born Jan. 10, 1934, in Sikeston, Mo., daughter of the late Anna Butrum, she was a member of the Church of Christ in Lancaster.

Her husband, Charles McMurtry, survives of the home.

Other survivors include: five sons, Robert Earl of Virginia Beach, Va., Gary Lee of Ridgefield, Wash., Victor Joe of Freeport, Fla., and Anthony Carl and Richard Dale of Fort Myers, Fla., last names unavailable; one daughter, Donna of Sikeston, last name unavailable; one sister, Lois Matthews of Sikeston; two brothers, Joe Hammons and Ray West of Lancaster; and 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Ray; and two sisters and two brothers.

Services are scheduled for Wednesday in Lancaster, where burial will follow in Joshua Memorial Park.
