Kay Orman
SIKESTON - Evelyn Kay Orman, 41, died at 6:13 p.m. Jan. 1, 2002, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Sikeston.
Born Aug. 9, 1960, in St. Augustine, Fla., daughter of Shirley Lester Tidwell of Sikeston and the late Evis Christine Ergle Tidwell, she was a self-employed daycare sitter and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
On April 14, 1979, in Matthews, she married John W. Orman who survives of the home.
Survivors in addition to her husband and father include: two daughters, Kristi Orman and Dianna Orman of Sikeston; one brother, Troy Tidwell of Matthews; seven sisters, Shirley A. Cureton of Crowder, Rebecca "Becky" Nance, Jessica Gates and Hope Parker of Sikeston, Virginia Southern and Tammy Jackson of Haleyville, Ala., and Kathy Haley of West Memphis, Ark.; and two grandsons.
Her niece, Brittany Gates, also died in the accident.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.
A joint funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Robert Burnes, pastor of House of Prayer General Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
