Paul Hoxworth

GRAVEL HILL - Paul E. Hoxworth, 86, died Nov. 19, 2001, at his home.

Born Feb. 19, 1915, son of the late John and Ella Hester Hoxworth, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army and lived and farmed in the Gravel Hill community since 1953. He had worked for Delta Asphalt, Rock Hill Asphalt and Penzel Construction before retiring in 1977 and was a member of Operating Engineers Local 513.

On Nov. 19, 1932, he married Mary Lou Grampp who preceded him in death on Nov. 30, 1995.

Survivors include: three sons, Leo Hoxworth of Conway, Ark., Jerry Hoxworth of Marble Hill and Kenny Hoxworth of Millersville; three daughters, Shirley Barks and Jo Ann Knoll of Marble Hill and Judy Bryant of Carson City, Nev.; and 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Five brothers and eight sisters also preceded him in death.

Services will be scheduled at a later date.

McCombs Funeral Home of Jackson is in charge of arrangements.
