Golda Woods
DEXTER - Golda Mae Woods, 73, died Nov. 24, 2001, at Three Rivers Healthcare South Campus in Poplar Bluff.
Born March 31, 1928, in Hendrickson, daughter of the late Ed and Dorothy Ray Etheridge, she lived in Silva for many years before moving to Dexter in 1993. She was a member of Elk General Baptist Church in Broseley.
On Dec. 22, 1944, at Piggott, Ark., she married Homer Woods who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, William "Bill" Woods of Dexter; one daughter, Joann Harmon of Kennett; three sisters, Claudine Cauthen of Easley, S.C., Carmon Pennington of Poplar Bluff and Carolyn Bruce of Qulin; and four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Wayne Woods; and two brothers, Herman Etheridge and Ronnie Etheridge.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter where services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Dan Ross of Silva officiating.
Burial will follow in the Hill Cemetery near Bloomfield.
