John Hudson

ORAN - John Burton Hudson, 97, died Nov. 24, 2001, at the Chaffee Nursing Center.

Born Aug. 24, 1904, at Gatewood, son of the late Newton and Maude Goodman Hudson, he retired as a farm laborer for the Jim Mack Emerson Farm near Morley.

On Sept. 25, 1935, he married Thelma Hart who preceded him in death on Feb. 28, 1992.

Survivors include: two sons, Austin Hudson of Cape Girardeau and John "Peck" Hudson of Spokane, Wash.; and seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one son, one daughter, three brothers and four sisters.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Don Russell officiating.

Burial will follow in the New Morley Cemetery at Morley.
