Katie Morris

PORTAGEVILLE - Katie F. Morris, 72, died Nov. 22, 2001, at the Portageville Nursing Center.

Born Dec. 7, 1928, in Hickman, Ky., daughter of the late Lonnie and Hattie Patrick Walker, she was a member of the First Church of God in Portageville where she was a past member of the WCG.

On July 2, 1946, in Union City, Tenn., she married Henry C. "Hank" Morris who preceded her in death on July 28, 1990.

Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Jana Morris of Portageville and Charles G. "Butch" and Sharon Morris of St. Louis; one daughter and son-in-law, Nonnie and Ted Laux of Portageville; one sister, Martha Joyner of Friendship, Tenn.; and two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Doris Walker, Wayne Walker and Houston Walker.

Services were conducted Saturday at DeLisle Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Tom Walls officiating.

Burial followed in the Portageville Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: David Morris, Butch Morris, Norman McMillion, Ted Laux, Charlie Lee Cananda, Carroll LeSieur and Harry Muller.
