Reba Medlin
PARMA - Reba Lorane Medlin, 87, died Jan. 30, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born Dec. 15, 1914, in Townley, daughter of the late Charles Oscar and Lena (Walker) Pippins, she worked for local Parma businesses during the 1960s and 1970s and was a member of the Parma General Baptist Church.
On Oct. 13, 1933, she married Lewis Almon "Slim" Medlin who preceded her in death on May 22, 2000.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, L. Dean and Barbara (Miller) Medlin of Parma; three granddaughters and their husbands, Yvonna and Jim Frazer of Richmond, Va., Penny and Pete Shoun of LaFollette, Tenn., and Cindy and Steve Thompson of Arlington, Texas; five great-grandchildren, Joey Shoun, Abbey Shoun, Cassidy Shoun and Logan Shoun of LaFollette and Aubrey Thompson of Arlington; two sisters, Mabel Stacy of St. Louis and Lola Bagby of Florida; and other relatives and many friends.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Eunice McBroom and one brother, Arthur Pippins.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today and 1 p.m. Saturday until service time at 2:30 p.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma. The Rev. Don Cooper of Dexter will officiate.
Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.
