Cloia Simpson
ESSEX - Cloia Simpson, 85, died Dec. 3, 2001, at Three Rivers Healthcare South in Poplar Bluff.
Born May 13, 1916, in Avery, Texas, daughter of the late David and Gertrude Goff Harvey, she lived in Wiener, Ark., for many years before moving to Essex in 1980. She was a member of the Cooper and Haynes General Baptist Church in Wiener.
On Sept. 12, 1936, in Lake City, Ark., she married Russell Simpson who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Norma Jean Burns of Essex; one sister, Rosetta Dozer of Saltillo, Miss.; two brothers, H.V. Harvey of Brookland, Ark., and Fay Harvey of Marked Tree, Ark.; one granddaughter, Terry Triplett Adkins of Essex; and two great-granddaughters and one great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Les Harvey, Elmer Harvey, Riley Harvey and Hugh Harvey.
Friends may call at 12:50 p.m. Wednesday at the Essex Cemetery where graveside services are scheduled for 1 p.m. with the Rev. Ernie Rogers of Poplar Bluff officiating.
