Marcellia Shelby

SIKESTON - Vreda Marcellia Shelby, 74, died at 9:47 a.m. Dec. 28, 2001, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born Feb. 23, 1927, in Portageville, daughter of the late John and Versie Rogers Ling, she had worked for International Shoe Company in Sikeston and was affiliated with the Baptist church.

Survivors include; one son, John Russell "Rusty" Scott of Sikeston; one sister, Phyllis Landers of Alton, Ill.; one grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

One brother and one sister preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Joe D. McCullough will officiate.

Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery.
