Charles Tucker
SIKESTON - Charles W. Tucker, 83, formerly of East Prairie, died at 5:30 a.m. Dec. 29, 2001, at the Clearview Nursing Center.
Born July 20, 1918, in Farrenburg, son of the late Charles C. and Betty Lou Hazel Tucker, he was a retired security guard with the state of Missouri, a self-employed mechanic and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II.
Survivors include: one son, Thomas G. Tucker of Cocoa, Fla.; one daughter, Karen J. Howard of Bethalto; one brother, Theodore Tucker of Sikeston; three sisters, Mayola Connelley of Sikeston, Laura Douglas of East Prairie and Mildred Rose of Crown Point, Ind.; and eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was also preceded in death by two sons, David C. Tucker and James W. Tucker.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery with Shelby Funeral Home of East Prairie in charge of arrangements.
