Irene Davis

ADVANCE - Irene Davis, 91, died at 1 p.m. Dec. 29, 2001, at the Advance Nursing Center.

Born May 10, 1910, at Allenville, she was the daughter of the late John and Ella Suttles Jones.

On Feb. 26, 1925, she married Clifton Hess, who preceded her in death. She and John L. Davis were married Jan. 27, 1930, and he died on Oct. 1, 1963.

Survivors include: two sons, Louis Hess and Floyd Davis of Advance; four daughters, Winnie Kemp of Jackson, Grace Davis and June Crenshaw of Advance and Dorothy Dannenmueller of Chaffee; and 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, one daughter, one brother and two sisters.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. Tuesday until service time at 2 p.m. at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. The Rev. Jack Bishop will officiate.

Burial will be in the Williams Cemetery in Perkins.
