Bertha Scherer

KELSO - Bertha Clara Scherer, 92, died at 3:45 p.m. Dec. 30, 2001, in Advance.

Born Aug. 12, 1909, in Chaffee, daughter of the late Anton and Regina Heuring Glastetter, she was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso.

On Oct. 20, 1932, at New Hamburg, she married Joseph Otto Scherer who preceded her in death on April 17, 1969.

Survivors include: two sons, Joe Scherer of Advance and Larry Scherer of Malabar, Fla.; one brother, Eugene Glastetter of Chaffee; and 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Three brothers and seven sisters also preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, where a parish rosary is scheduled for 6 p.m.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thrusday at St. Augustine Catholic Church with the Rev. Oliver Clavin officiating.

Burial will follow in the St. Augustine Cemetery.
