Ola Hastings

JACKSON - Ola Bernice Hastings, 86, formerly of Sikeston, died Jan. 2, 2002, at the Monticello House in Jackson.

Born April 27, 1915, in Jerusalem, Ark., daughter of the late Lee Andrew and Emma Mae Taylor Roper, she was a member of Shady Acres Church of Christ in Sikeston. She lived in Sikeston for many years before moving to Jackson in September 2001.

Survivors include: one son, Doyne Lee Kirtley of Phoenix, Ariz.; one stepson, Gale Hastings of Sikeston; one stepdaughter, Christa Patray of Statesboro, Ga.; and four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

Preceding her in death were one son, one stepson, three brothers, one sister and one granddaughter.

No visitation or services are scheduled.

Interment will be Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.

Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel of Cape Girardeau is in charge of arrangements.
