Curtis Howard

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Curtis Howard, 47, died Jan. 2, 2002, of injuries sustained in a hit and run accident in Bloomington.

Born July 27, 1954, in Charleston, Mo., son of the late John Henry and Mozella White Howard, he attended Charleston High School.

Survivors include: one son, Kurtis Howard of Charleston; two daughters, Renee Howard and Sholnda Howard of Chicago; three brothers, Arthur Howard of Chicago, Gary Howard of Charleston and Marshall Anderson Howard of Memphis, Tenn.; and four sisters, Selma Betts of St. Louis, Mo., Elnora Mims of Chicago and Vastie Smith and Susan Howard of Sikeston, Mo.

Friends may call from noon Saturday until service time at 3 p.m. at Sparks Funeral Home in Charleston. Elder Steve Betts will officiate.

Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
