Cornetta Seyer

KELSO - Cornetta R. Seyer, 91, died at 2:25 p.m. Jan. 1, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born May 9, 1910, in Kelso, daughter of the late William Theodore and Emma Bertha Goetz Leible, she was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and St. Ann's Sodality. She was also a member and past president of the Kelso Senior Citizens.

On April 2, 1932, at Jackson, she married Theon Phillip Seyer who preceded her in death on Jan. 1, 1997.

Survivors include: three daughters, Marilyn LeVan of St. Louis, Judy Bane of Cape Girardeau and Linda Spitler of New Madrid; one brother, Raymond Leible of Sikeston; three sisters, Virginia Hovis of Cape Girardeau, Helen Cox of Kelso and Dorothy St. Clair of Scott City; and three grandchildren.

One brother and one sister also preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, where a Rosary is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Augustine Catholic Church with the Rev. Oliver Clavin officiating.

Burial will follow in the St. Augustine Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Chuck Leible, John Leible, Rodney Cox, Bob Leible, Bill Gosche and Randy Cox.
