Roy Williamson
BEMENT - Roy Edward Williamson, 59, died Dec. 27, 2001, at his home.
Born June 7, 1942, in Charleston, son of the late Raymond Williamson and Christie Williamson Mott, he was a deckhand for the Walker Barge Lines and attended the Bement Baptist church.
On March 31, 1975, he married Jane Wilson who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Jack Mizell II, Vickie and John Artman and Kathy and Greg Henry of Metropolis, Ill.; and five grandchildren, Jake Mizell, Kristi Mizell, Joshua Artman, Sydney Artman and Zachary Henry of Metropolis.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Delbert Bishop, pastor of the Bement Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Mounds Park Cemetery near Lilbourn.
Pallbearers will be: Kenny Parker, Brad Parker, Jeff McCoy, Joe Parker, Jake Mizell, Donnie Nance and James Nance.
Honorary pallbearerwill be Harry Batts.
