David Townsend

NEW MADRID - David Albert Townsend, 65, died July 14, 2004, at his home.

Born Aug. 24, 1938, in Parma, son of the late Henderson H. and Hazel Shaw Townsend Sr., he was a retired electrician and member of the United Methodist Church in New Madrid.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Michele Townsend of Poplar Bluff; one daughter and son-in-law, Leah and Dennis Eppestine of Sikeston; one brother, H.H. "Buddy" Townsend of New Madrid; and four grandchildren, Jennifer Townsend and Josh Townsend of Poplar Bluff and Michelle Hardesty and David Hardesty of Sikeston.

One sister, Charlotte Basham, preceded him in death.

Visitation is from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at Richards Funeral Home.

Graveside services will follow visitation at the Evergreen Cemetery. The Rev. Lynn Quist will officiate.
