Allen Robbins
MARSTON - Allen Robbins, 59, died July 11, 2004, at his home. Born Jan. 15, 1945, son of the late Willie and Katie Wiley Robbins, he was a member of the Free Trinity Pentecostal Church of Marston.
On July 12, 1962, at Portageville, he married Louise Norwood who preceded him in death.
Survivors include: four biological children, Sandy Cole of Sparta, Ill., Donnie Robbins of Tennessee, Ramona Copeland and Glinda Quick of Portageville; one adopted child, Martha Quick of Portageville; two brothers, Tommy Robbins of Marston and Billy Gerald Westmoreland; two sisters, Annette Blankenship of Hayti and Ellamae Ranken of Illinois; and 16 grandchildren, Brandy Portwood Mercer, Chris and Mark Portwood, Billy Copeland II, Allen Michael Copeland, Joe Sizemore II, Kayti Sizemore, Danielle Robbins, Ben Robbins, Mary Ann Robbins, D.J. Robbins, Emily Robbins, Betty Robbins, James and Jacob Quick; four stepgrandchildren, Sara and Evan Quick, Christina and Brandon Cole; and two great-grandchildren, Destiny and Chastin Mercer with one great-grandchild on the way, Mason Andrew Dalton.
He was also preceded in death by four brothers, John Robbins, Jay Robbins, Dallas Sawyer and Jack Sawyer.
Services were conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid with the Revs. Frank Townsend and Earl Davidson officiating.
Burial followed in Mounds Park Cemetery near Lilbourn.
Pallbearers were: Billy Copeland II, Joe Sizemore II, Chris Portwood, Ricky Mercer, Billy Jaccob and Cody Robbins.
Honorary pallbearers were: Billy Sawyer and Michael Copeland.
