Raymond Ashley

MARION, Ark. - Raymond Leo Ashley, 90, died Nov. 4, 2001, at his home.

Born April 23, 1911, in Houlka, Miss., son of the late Oscar D. and Eola R. Ashley, he was a retired farmer.

Survivors include: one daughter, Barbara Ross of Sikeston; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Gene Raymond Ashley; four brothers, Reno Ashley, Irvin Ashley, Virgil Ashley and J.B. Ashley; and three sisters, Lorena Cole, Ethel Jacks and May Davis.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, Mo.

Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Sikeston Garden of Memories Cemetery with Johnny Hester, minister of the Shady Acres Church of Christ, officiating.
