Mildred George

SIKESTON - Mildred Corbin George, 77, died at 6:20 p.m. Nov. 21, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born Dec. 30, 1923, in Risco, daughter of the late Nathan Alexander and Cora Jane Fox Bennett, she was a private duty nurse aide and member of the First United Pentecostal Church.

Her first husband, Homer Corbin, preceded her in death.

In 1978, she married William J. George who preceded her in death on Dec. 3, 1993.

One son, Danny Corbin, and four brothers also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: three sons, Robert Corbin and Jerry Corbin of Sikeston and Ralph Corbin of Poplar Bluff; one brother, Earl Bennett of Bernie; one sister, Louise Ellis of Granite City, Ill.; and five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Richard Whitman, pastor of the First United Pentecostal Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
