Ruth Schwab

WAPPAPELLO - Ruth Schwab, 69, died Jan. 15, 2002, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, following a lengthy illness.

Born Sept. 9, 1932, in Myrtle, Miss., she retired as a bookkeeper for the Culligan Water Company and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

On Feb. 14, 1954, she married Robert William Schwab who preceded her in death on Sept. 21, 1995.

Survivors include: one daughter, Linda Ayers of Poplar Bluff; one son, Jeff Schwab of Parkersburg, W.Va.; three brothers, James Hargrove of Napa, Calif., Lonnie Hargrove of Wappapello and Tommy Hargrove of Morehouse; two sisters, Erma Michael of Wappapello and Mary Bohannon of Fulton; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is after 7 p.m. today at Cotrell Funeral Home in Wappapello, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Mike Devitt officiating.

Burial will follow in the Little Brushy Cemetery.
