Dora Lampkins

SCOTT CITY - Dora Lee Lampkins, 85, died at 2:50 a.m. Nov. 20, 2001, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

Born Jan. 20, 1916, in Malden, daughter of the late Frank and Ruth Piles Gordon, she was a cook for Henson's and Rhodes Huddle House before retiring and a member of the Memorial Wesleyan Methodist Church in Scott City.

On Oct. 5, 1935, she married Ray Lampkins who preceded her in death on Jan. 31, 1981.

Survivors include: one son, Mike Lampkins of Scott City; and one sister, Elwanda Searcy of Gordonville.

Two brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Joe Hudson, officiating.

Burial will follow in Lightner Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Truman Lemons, Joshua Lemons, Steve Turner and Corey Dohogne.
