Ernest Poole
WHITEWATER - Ernest Homer Poole Jr., 66, died at 6 a.m. Dec. 25, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born June 26, 1935, in Ancell, son of the late Ernest Homer and Lillian Mae Gowins Poole, he retired as a truck driver for Wetterau Foods in Scott City. He was a member of Teamsters Local 574 in Cape Girardeau, where he had served as vice president and recording secretary.
On July 22, 1974, at Marble Hill, he married Sharon Sue Heuring who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, Roger Wayne Poole Sr. of Cape Girardeau and Terry Lynn Heuring of Farmington; one daughter, Kimberly Jane Poole-Fairley of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Viola Lair of Chaffee; and eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Dean Heuring officiating.
Burial will follow in Union Park Cemetery at Chaffee.
