Herman Goss
CAHOKIA, Ill. - Herman Goss, 70, formerly of Dexter, Mo., died Nov. 8, 2001, at his home.
Born Sept. 9, 1931, in Arbyrd, Mo., son of the late Charlie and Lessie Black Gross, he was the retired owner/operator of Herman Goss Tree Service and a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church, both in Cahokia.
He was married to Reva Berniece Goss who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: four daughters, Brenda Steiger and Laura Goss of Belleville, Diana Goss of Seattle, Wash., and Shirley "Penny" J. Roach of Valmeyer; one son, Glenn Goss of Belleville; two brothers, David Goss of Sun Valley, Calif., and Joe Goss of Riverside, Calif.; four sisters, Christine Morrow of Fontana, Calif., Jean Wolfs of Cypress, Calif., Shirley Kittrell of Whittier, Calif., and Bonnie Shaffer of Visalia, Calif.; and 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after noon today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter until time of services at 1 p.m.
Burial will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.
