Charles Pruett
CHAFFEE - Charles Elwin Pruett Jr., 60, died at 11:20 a.m. Nov. 9, 2001, at his home.
Born March 16, 1941, in Blodgett, son of Grace Williams Pruett of Chaffee and the late Charles Elwin Pruett Sr., he retired as a line operator for Procter and Gamble in Cape Girardeau. He was a former patrol officer in Chaffee and member of the First Assembly of God Church in Sikeston.
On May 27, 1962, he married Nancy McMullin who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Eddie Pruett of Tampa, Fla.; one daughter and son-in-law, Dolly and David Kluesner of New Hamburg and their children, Samantha Kluesner and Jerome Kluesner of New Hamburg; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Frances and Larry Schmidt of Hillsboro and Betty Jo and Dennis Carnell of Dothan, Ala.; two sisters-in-law, Sharon Pruett of Cape Girardeau and Nancy Pruett of Morley; and 10 nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, David Pruett and Vernon Pruett.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Watis Harrell of Chaffee officiating.
Burial will follow in the Old Morley Cemetery at Morley.
