Euless Stanley

LILBOURN - Glada Euless Stanley, 81, died Nov. 9, 2001, at Beverly Healthcare in New Madrid.

Born June 9, 1920, in Enola, Ark., daughter of the late Jesse W. and Lucy W. Hurst Weaver, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lilbourn. She had been a teacher's aide at Lilbourn Elementary School and later worked in the New Madrid Nursing Center Dietary Department before retiring.

Her husband, Red Stanley, preceded her in death on Feb. 14, 1982.

Survivors include: one son, Jack Stanley of Columbia; one daughter, Betty Ann Ruark of Kennett; and six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Ponder Funeral Home in Lilbourn where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Don Stephens, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Mounds Park Cemetery near Lilbourn.
