SIKESTON -- The Sikeston Department of Public Safety has arrested six people on drug offenses since Wednesday
According to reports, two subjects were arrested for the distribution of a controlled substance and a quantity of marijuana was seized on Wednesday night. Sikeston DPS is seeking charges on the subjects for distribution of a controlled substance within 2,000 feet of a school.
On Thursday, officers arrested four more subjects for distribution of a controlled substance. A large quantity of cocaine was seized and DPS is seeking charges on the subjects for possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.
Names and addresses are being withheld pending the filing of formal charges by the Scott County prosecutor. The investigation is continuing and additional arrests are possible.
