Billie Tucker

SIKESTON - Billie Jean Tucker, 61, formerly of Blytheville, Ark., died at 4:42 p.m. Dec. 9, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born Feb. 22, 1940, at Blytheville, daughter of the late George Clifton and Ardie Lucille Rhodes Tankersley, she was a resident of Hunter Acres Caring Center and had owned and operated a tavern in Blytheville.

She was first married to Joe Byars. She later married Carl Tucker who preceded her in death in November 2001.

Survivors include: one son, Timothy Byars of Sikeston; one brother, E.J. Tankersley of Gosnell, Ark.; two sisters, Ethel Hurt of Gosnell and Jackie Burgess of Columbus, Miss.; and six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

One son, Tony Byars, preceded her in death in 1989.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Dogwood Cemetery in Blytheville.
